NuAmp Support

NuAmp is a free classic-skin music player for macOS 27 or later on Apple Silicon.

Getting started

• Play music: choose File → Open Music…, or drop audio files or folders on any NuAmp window. Supported: MP3, AAC/M4A, FLAC, WAV and AIFF, plus M3U, M3U8 and PLS playlists.
• Change the look: NuAmp Glass is the default skin. File → Open Skin… loads a classic .wsz skin; File → Use Native Fallback switches to standard macOS controls; File → Use NuAmp Glass Skin switches back.
• Equalizer: Equalizer → Presets saves, applies and assigns presets. Import Classic EQ Presets reads .eqf and .q1 files.
• Keyboard: Space plays and pauses; ← and → seek; ↑ and ↓ change volume.
• Lost a window? Choose Window → Reset Window Positions.

Common questions

A track can't be opened after I moved it. Select it in the playlist and choose Playlist → Locate Selected File… to give NuAmp access again.

A skin won't load. NuAmp checks every skin archive and rejects damaged or unsafe ones, keeping your current look. Some unusual skins load with a note about limitations.

Does NuAmp stream music or need an account? No. It plays files on your Mac and needs no account.
